Hi everyone, my name is Malachy and I’m a senior in the ILR School. I don’t have a musical background or know how to play any instruments, but I love producing music on Logic in my free time. A lot of my time is spent making beats or house-inspired tracks. I joined this class in the hopes of establishing a more formal learning foundation for my music, and to challenge myself by exploring another DAW. As someone who has only just started familiarizing myself with the process of collaborative work in music, I’m super excited to learn more and generate ideas with everyone. I don’t have any performance experience when it comes to my own music, but I’ve been getting into DJing over the past year and have gotten the opportunity to perform at various different events since.
