It was recently presented as a solo performance as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arts.cornell.edu\/sochum\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cornell Society for Humanities<\/a> annual conference &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.arts.cornell.edu\/sochum\/ft_11_12.html\" target=\"_blank\">Sounding cultures: from performance to politics<\/a>&#8221; as well as at the <a href=\"http:\/\/museum.cornell.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Johnson Museum of Art <\/a>as part of &#8220;Look and Listen&#8221;, an inauguration of the museum&#8217;s new wing. At\u00a0this latter performance, creator Eliot Bates will be joined by Kevin Ernste, Taylan Cihan, and Tim Feeney; each performing live mixes of their own soundscapes, while the audience created its own soundscape mix by moving through the museum.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ithaca Soundscape Project is an ongoing sound art work built on crowd-sourced field recordings made in the Ithaca area.
