I've played a musical instrument for pretty much my entire life. Starting as young as 3 years old I began taking piano lessons which eventually evolved into violin lessons. From that point forward I played in my school's orchestra until I entered college at which point my interest in playing a musical instrument kind of fell off. My inability to create artistically in any other way has kind of left me a bit wayward and so I figured why not get back into the music game by trying an entirely different field of music. What piques my interest most about computer music is how it is very different then any other kind of music while being the same in many respects. While it requires the same understanding of beats and scales it allows you to access all different kinds of sounds in your creation. What I want most out of this course is the chance to create something that is truly my own. Looking forward to an exciting semester.
