Hey guys,
Didn't get a chance to play this in class. Any and all feedback extremely welcome.
It's called Moon after its inspiration and I made it by recording some acoustic guitar plucking samples and adding a lot of reverb, delay, phasers and other effects onto them.
Hope you like it.
Cheers,
Oli

i liked it...it has good
i liked it...it has good atmosphere and i really like what happens in the second half. the riffs you introduce there are more evocative of nightime/moon imagery, actually. the first half "sounded" more like a lazy sunday/summer afternoon to me.
the only issue i have with the piece is that it sounded a bit crowded in the low end at times...i couldnt tell when i listened over the speakers, but i noticed when i put my headphones on. that low end rumble/pulse could have been more "sharp" if that makes any sense. as is (with the longer reverberation), its a bit distracting/too dissonant for an otherwise musically tight piece (imo).
but again, overall i really enjoyed it
thanks for the comment
Hey thanks for the comment! Yeah I totally agree with your perception of the lower frequencies. With the really nice speakers in the studio and classroom I was hoping that they would be able to clarify the bass reverberations. But with headphones it all sounds really muddy.
Thanks again for your input!
cheers,
Oli
