On August 9-10, 2018, the Cornell Sound Arts and Sciences group hosted the second annual Upstate New York Sound Meet-Up.
The event gathered regional colleagues with an interest in sound and audio, including university faculty, staff, and graduate students, industry members, and others. Attendees including Architects, Musicians, Teachers, Cognitive Scientists, Neuroscientists, Biologists, Physicists, Engineers, Sound Engineers, Sound Designers, and other Audio Professionals, an eclectic gathering!
Similar to last year’s Meet-Up held at the University of Rochester, the session was somewhat be informal, meant to give everyone a chance to share work and discuss ideas, make connections, to draw together the community of researchers, teachers, and other professionals interested in various aspects of sound and audio, and spark new collaborations.
The format was be similar to 2017with a Thursday noon arrival and lunch, self-introductions and demonstrations in the afternoon, followed by dinner and a evening concert. See the full schedule for more details.
