The _/_k_b ("keyboard") _s_f_l_i_b directory includes multisample
sets of piano and harpsichord soundfiles. These include the
following sets of multisamples:

II.. GGrroouuppss ooff ssaammpplleess wwiitthhoouutt lloooopp ppooiinnttss::

_p_n_1 (piano 1) : many of these samples are of mediocre audio
quality
_p_n_1_._p (piano 1 pizzicato) : samples from the same piano as
the _p_n_1 group, but the strings were plucked with fingertips
rather than played with the hammers from the keyboard
     The soundboard was miced very closely for these record
     ings and the resulting audio quality is very "wet"
     (reverberant) -- too reverberant for many purposes

IIII.. GGrroouuppss ooff ssaammpplleess wwiitthh lloooopp ppooiinnttss::

_p_n_2_._l_o_o_p (piano multiset 2):
     Mono and ST (stereo) versions are available; IMPORTANT
     : these soundfiles need fade-outs
_p_n_3_._l_o_o_p (piano multiset 3):
     Mono and ST (stereo) versions are available; the tim
     bre is brighter than the _p_n_2 multisamples; IMPORTANT :
     these soundfiles need fade-outs
_h_o_n_k_y_t_o_n_k_p_n_._l_o_o_p  : honky tonk piano
_p_f_t_e_l_o_o_p (pianoforte): an eighteenth century pianoforte
_h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._1  (harpsichord  1) : 16 foot stop, 37 samples;
the timbre is relatively mellow
_h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._2 (harpsichord 2) : (16 and 8 foot  stops  cou
pled);
     "fatter," more "reverberant than _h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._1 and
     _h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._3)
     timbre is somewhat brighter than _h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._1 but
     less bright than the _h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._3 and _h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._4
     s
_h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._3 (harpsichord 3) :
     similar to harpsichord as hpschordloop.2 & hpschord
     loop.1 but with 8 and 4 foot stops coupled; timbre is
     bright, thin, "steely"
_h_p_s_c_h_o_r_d_l_o_o_p_._4 (harpsichord 4) :
     Mono and ST (stereo) versions are available;
     timbre is bright, full; loops on notes above _f_s_3 become
     progressively shorter, leading to annoying tremolos
     between _f_s_3 and _g_s_4 and artifacts above _a_4

samples designed for looping you can
