Hey everyone,  my name's Jeff.  I'm currently a junior majoring in information science.  I've been playing trombone since I was around 9-10.  I have always enjoyed music and play a little guitar on the side as well.  Main focus would be jazz, though I unfortunately haven't been playing much of anything in the past year or so at Cornell.

I'm taking this class because digital/electronic music has always intrigued me greatly.  I'm somewhat of a large computer geek and like to delve into almost every area I can find.  In the past I've worked some with Reason/audacity/fl but nothing formal nor that intricate(used a virtual midi input device driver, it was pretty weak).  I'm taking this course because I'd love to learn more about the process involved in digital composition, as well as just come up with some cool compositions.  I love music, creating music, and observing music.  It'll also give me a chance to whip out some instruments again.  Plus! The studios we'll be able to work with look amazing.  Definitely looking forward to the course.
