Hi Professor, I've tried twice to get into Lincoln and the studios in the past two days, and my card won't let me in. I emailed Eric my cornell ID last night to try and get it activated, but still did not work today. Any ideas? I just added the class thursday, so I'm not sure if I'm just not in the system, or something is wrong with my card.

Unfortunately you are not alone. Today is a staff holiday so the situation will not be changed today but I will attend to it first thing tomorrow morning. I will post here again and on the blog once the ID situation has been cleaned up. I will be here this afternoon and part of the evening and would be happy to let you in myself.
I apologize for the problem. For you and others with this issue, I will obviously grant an extension on the homework. I will discuss this in more detail tomorrow in lecture.

sorry this is a bit late, but...
Hi Professor, as you know I had trouble getting into the lab on Thursday. On Friday Eric e-mailed me and asked me if my ID card had ever been replaced. I said no. What would this mean? I also didn't get a chance to go to lab today before 5 (my card doesn't work on any of the entrances either), but would my card work by now?
