Running midi in CuBase

I'm trying to play midi throgh cubase- I've imported midi- the tracks all say they're going to the qs8, I have the qs8 channels on the board up, but see or hear nothing. Suggestions?

Rewire
Problem 1: Starting Cubase and then Reason creates a Rewire audio connection (you can verify this in Reason's Audio Preferences). Starting them in the opposite order with Reason first avoids this connection. If, on the other hand, you would like to hear Reason through Rewire, you just have to create a Rewire track in Cubase and toggle on it's "monitor" button.
Problem 2: When apps are Rewired they must also be SHUT DOWN in reverse order. Close Reason and then Cubase. Cubase should have given you a warning about this when you tried to close it with Reason still open.

even worse
Went in to the other studio to try and get this all working, was fine for a while, but now I can't get any sound from reason, even after restarting. At the top under audio out, it says no sound and I can't figure out how to change it, and I don't know what I did to get it like that.

worse problems now
For some reason, cubase and reason both think reason is open, so reason won't open and cubase won't close. I can't figure out how to force quit cubase- it won't even let me restart.
sorry that was me
That was me posting.
