Rachel Korosi intro

Hi everyone!! My name is Rachel Korosi, and I am a senior double majoring in Information Science and Communication with a minor in Music. I’m taking this course because I am extremely interested in the world of electronic music, music production, and audio engineering, and I’m eager to learn more/further my skill set. I’ve been passionate about music my entire life; I’ve been singing and performing since I was young (I’m also in an a cappella group here at Cornell), and when I got a bit older I taught myself how to play a few instruments (guitar, piano, bass, and ukulele). I then began experimenting with music production in early high school when I started writing my own songs and wanted to produce/record them — and this sparked a passion in me for creating electronic music. At Cornell, I’ve been able to complement my own explorations by taking Sound Design my sophomore year and Making Noise last semester, and I also took a few summer courses in audio engineering/music production at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute last year. I love working on audio projects in my spare time, and I am also in the process of recording, editing, and mixing an album for my a cappella group! I’m so excited to take this course, learn more about electronic music, and push myself out of my comfort zone to see what I’m capable of creating 🙂 I’m also looking forward to meeting everyone and would be very open to collaborating!
