Cornell Avant-Garde Ensemble
During the week of February 18th- 24th, CAGE, in conjunction with the Cornell Council for the Arts, the Cornell Electroacoustic Music Center (CEMC) and Cornell Art, Architecture, and Planning (AAP) will host an artist residency with Ellen Fullman and her Long String instrument. The week’s events, housed in Cornell’s new Milstein Hall dome, include talks, demonstrations, Q&A sessions, a film screening on her work (5 Variations on a Long String by Peter Esmonde), open rehearsals with CAGE, and two concerts on February 24th, 3pm and 8pm. CAGE and Fullman will be joined in these performances by cellist/vocalist Theresa Wong, guest artist to the Department of Music.
